About Deja

Hello! I started working with kids when I was 10 years old babysitting cousins and siblings. I have worked at 2 daycares in Champaign, and I have a lot of experience working with special needs children and adults. I have most recently worked with a baby that was 18 mos. when I began and is now nearing 2 years! My employers have decided to enroll him in a daycare so he can have the opportunity to socialize with children his own age. My heart is so big that I will miss them all dearly. I'd describe my personality as fun, intuitive, and caring. I love connecting with children and employers as if we are all family. I care not only for children but also for parents. I very much enjoy hearing about your workdays and any recreational activities that you participate in. My skills include socio-emotional education and grounding techniques, conscious discipline, and the awareness of child development in regard to age appropriate education and recreational activities.
