About Deena

Hi My name is Deena and I am new to Mississippi. I moved here about a year and half ago from New Jersey to be closer to my family. I spent the last 15 years working for a non profit agency that provides residential support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. I started out as a direct care worker and was promoted to management 12 years ago. My favorite part of my job was interacting with my clients. I LOVED being able to directly have a positive affect on their quality of life and encouraging them to safely ( through structured supports) experience the dignity of risk to maximize their independence. I have lots of experience with providing direct daily care (ADL's), behavior/memory supports, medical care( including medication administration and monitoring) and recreational activities. I am looking to work primarily Monday to Friday up until 6 p.m. but I will try be flexible with my schedule and accommodate any special requests with advance notice.
