I was fortunate to spend 12 years taking care of my Mom after she became disabled. I spent years providing transportation and companionship for my grandmother. 15 years ago, when I moved into my house, I became aware of an elderly neighbor who needed assistance. I introduced myself, and in no time at all, we became good friends. Over the next 10 years I took her grocery shopping and to appointments, cut her hair, helped her with her numerous pets and shared my dinners with her every evening. I value people of all ages and appreciate gleaning from the sharing of their life experiences. I even enjoy hearing about "the good ole' days"!
