About Debra

Debra came into our lives at a time when we truly needed an angel, and from day one, that is exactly what she was to our family. My mother recently passed away after a long battle with Dementia and Parkinson’s disease, and I cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the love and care Debra gave her. She is the most caring, compassionate, honest, and loving person we could have ever hoped for. Debra and I were my mother’s only caregivers, and over time she became so much more than that — she became family. She was never late, never called off, and was always dependable in every possible way. My mother absolutely adored her. No matter how difficult the day was, Debra could always get my mom to smile, which was not always an easy thing to do. Through multiple hospital stays, Debra was always right there by my mother’s side, wherever she was needed — simply because that’s where my mother wanted her to be. Even when my mom entered Hospice while Debra was away on vacation, her love and dedication never wavered. I held the phone to my mother’s ear so Debra could speak to her, and she told my mom she would be coming home soon to see her. My mother’s last words to Debra were, “Hurry.” And she sure did wait for her. That moment alone speaks volumes about the bond they shared and the incredible caregiver Debra is. She constantly went above and beyond, helping with countless little things around the house without ever being asked. Even now, we still talk or text daily — that’s how deeply she has impacted my life. I truly cannot put into words how much I appreciate this amazing woman. No review could ever fully capture how special she is, but I can say this with complete honesty: you will never find a better caregiver than Debra.
