Debbie did a wonderful job watching our 1-year-old son.  He took to her immediately; Debbie has a natural, warm rapport with kids.  She also had excellent advice about childproofing our house.  We would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Debbie served as our nanny for our 5-14-month-old son during the 24-25 academic year. We needed an extremely flexible schedule with different hours each day; Debbie was great about consistently communicating about and being adaptable to different hours. We chose Debbie because of her expertise in Cambridge's infant and toddler classes and play areas as well as outdoor education. She and our very active, mobile baby went outside most days and participated in many baby lap times, singalongs, playgroups, baby massage classes, and baby sign language classes. Debbie is very comfortable with getting down on the floor and paying as well as dealing with steep staircases. She has many tips for childproofing and finding the best infant and toddler care products and clothes. She handled lunch time, dinner time, and bedtime routinely. She also does light baby-related chores (laundry, food prep and cleanup). I'm happy to recommend Debbie as a nanny!

Debbie is terrific. She worked with our baby from around 6 months, to 1 year+. We often joke our baby has seen more of Boston than we have, largely because Debbie makes sure he goes to museums, parks, and play groups/classes. Her background in outdoor education is such a plus. Debbie is also proactive in getting and staying ahead of the next phase: Childproofing, solids, nap timing, and so much more.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Debbie care for our children. We had a nanny share and she looked after our two children, aged 1 years old and 6 months when she started, with exceptional care and dedication. Debbie always ensured they had appropriate developmental routines such as a welcoming music circle, nap time, and free play. In addition, she provided a lot of enriching activities like visits to the park, trips to the library, and other engaging outings that helped them explore and learn about their world. Most importantly, the kids love her! 

Her ability to create a safe, nurturing environment where our children felt happy and secure was truly remarkable. We highly recommend Debbie to any family looking for a compassionate and responsible nanny who will go above and beyond to care for their children. 

Debbie has been a part of our family for nearly five years now. Her first week January 2019 was when we went into lockdown during the pandemic and my youngest was six months old. She cared for him in our apartment while I worked from the other room until he was two years old and started preschool. She has such a natural way with children and we have so much affection for her that we asked her to come back when we had our second child in 2023, and she has been caring for her ever since, including watching both of our kids for two summers. Now that our oldest is going into kindergarten, our needs are shifting, but any family would be lucky for their children to spend time with Debbie. 

Debbie communicates with children on their level, figuratively and literally, finds fun (and free!) activities for them to do all over Cambridge and Boston (puppet shows, singalongs, park parties, beach days, museums, etc.) and has a passion for getting kids outdoors in the natural world. It was a blessing to know that my kids were being watched by such a kind, loving, and fun caregiver. My children were always laughing, exploring, and having silly, creative times with Debbie, and they probably know more of the city than I do! 



I wholeheartedly recommend our current nanny, Debbie.  Debbie has cared for our daughter for the past two years, since she was 3 years old.  Since our daughter will be transitioning from part-time to full-time school in the fall, Debbie is seeking a position with more hours. Debbie is everything one could hope for in a nanny: nurturing, innovative, careful, and lots of fun. She has a M.S. in environmental sciences, and has taken undergraduate and graduate level child development classes. Her native language is English, but she is also fluent in Spanish. She sparked our daughter's curiosity in the natural world by taking her on hikes, searching for natural beach treasures, exploring our neighborhood, and many other local adventures. She has given our daughter the gift of a childhood immersed in wonder and discovery. Many parents have told us how engaging and careful Debbie is, and how lucky we are to have her as our nanny!

Debbie is wonderful with children of all ages. She treats young people with respect and kindness but is also very, very fun! She loves the outdoors and enjoys introducing children to all aspects of nature. She always finds creative and educational kids activities around Boston for rainy and snowy days as well.

She has worked as a nanny in my building for the past 2 years and my family and I have spent lots of time with her. My baby and 5 year old both adore her, as do the other kids in my child's preschool class. They all run up to greet her at the school pickup! She is the perfect mix of responsible, caring, and fun and her next family will be so lucky to have her. Basically, she's the best !

We've been extremely fortunate to have Debbie as our nanny for our twin boys. She cared for them from age 1.5 to 2.5 (ending because we are moving away). One of the most valuable qualities Debbie brings is that she is an energetic and consummate teacher. She fully engages our boys? curiosity about the world around them, and uses any opportunity possible to help them learn and explore: from identifying birds and their calls, to learning Spanish, and of course the more standard ABC's, etc. Debbie has a very hands-on style, with no hesitation getting down in the dirt alongside kids. She's been very proactive about finding activities, with frequent trips to parks, playgrounds, story time, yoga and treks downtown to the museum and aquarium. It's been a relief knowing that the boys are in safe hands, and always well-cared for. She has also helped us out with meal prep (with an eye toward healthy foods), and keeps things cleaned and organized. The boys simply love being around her!
