About Deanna
Hi, I'm Deanna! I'm 20 years old and graduated from St Charles North. I am enrolled at ECC currently, and my classes are Monday-Thursday until 1:45. I am willing to come help out when needed or be on a regular schedule. I have a little cousin who I've babysat and looked after since she was a baby, so I have some experience with children of all ages. I believe babysitting is about bonding with the kids in order to provide a safe space physically and emotionally while parents cannot be there. I have always gotten good grades, and even was a writing tutor in high school for other students, so providing help with homework is right up my alley. I also have my own car, a 2021 model. I am very patient and calm. I hope to be able to get to know your kids and become a trusted figure for them while you are at work, on date nights, or any other reason you need my assistance!

I connected with Deanna and completed the first part of the interview process. During the interview questions, she emphasized that she was reliable and a strong communicator. One of her references also specifically described her as dependable and responsive. We scheduled an in-person meeting as the second step of the interview process. Unfortunately, Deanna did not show up for the meeting. I waited approximately 30 minutes and never received any communication that she would be late, needed to reschedule, or was no longer interested in the position. Afterward, my attempts to follow up went unanswered. Based on my experience, the level of communication and reliability did not match what was represented during the interview process. Families looking for dependable childcare may want to take this into consideration.
