As a current LCPS employee, with seven years of experience as a certified teacher, I'm passionate about unlocking each student's unique potential through personalized support. My approach focuses on building confidence and a love for learning, not just memorization. I actively listen and observe to adapt my teaching methods, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and celebrating small successes. Communication is essential, so I provide regular updates to parents. Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504) are areas of expertise. I tutor in Math, English, Sports & Fitness, Special Education, and Study Skills for elementary and middle school students. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor, and I look forward to helping your student succeed!
