About Dawn

We feel very lucky to have had Dawn with our family for nearly two years now. She began caring for our kiddos when my youngest was just four months old, and her presence has made a lasting impact on our family. She's exceptionally reliable, always on time (often early), and someone we can consistently count on. Beyond that, she has been incredibly flexible and supportive. My work requires a lot of travel that makes things hectic for my husband who gets stuck single parenting for a week at a time while I'm out of the country. Also sometimes our older son is home sick from preschool, or has a day when school is closed, snow day, etc. Dawn has regularly offered to adjust her schedule, come early, or help us out however needed. That level of dependability and generosity is rare. Most importantly, she is deeply caring and loving. It’s clear that she truly cares about our son! I often hear her greeting him on Monday mornings by telling him how much she missed him over the weekend, and their bond is incredibly special. She's really been more like a second grandmother to him. She has also done a wonderful job establishing and evolving a daily routine as he has grown, balancing playtime, meals, and naps in a way that provided him with structure and flexibility. This consistency has been invaluable for his development. We are transitioning our younger son to preschool now, and sending our older son off to kindergarten, so the only reason for parting ways with Dawn is due to this timing. It really is bittersweet! Any family would be lucky to have her. She brings warmth, reliability, and genuine care to everything she does.
