I've worked in daycare or as a nanny since I was young. In my last daycare role, I opened the center, cooked, communicated with parents, led a 2-3-year-old classroom with crafts, stories, singing, and potty training. I also handled transportation and summer field trips. I left because I prefer nannying-it's more personal and allows deeper bonds with families. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, flu vaccinated, and have excellent references. In 2023, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, had surgery, and completed chemo. I'm now in remission and ready to return to what I love. One past family welcomed me back part-time. My passion is infants-starting young and staying with the family long-term. I'm open to being a nanny, mother's helper, or even nanny sharing. I'm great with animals, housework, errands, and making parents' lives easier. I love sensory play, parks, and even have a zoo membership. I understand how hard it is to leave your little ones and would love to chat!

Dawn has been a wonderful nanny to my two daughters for about a year and a half. We’ve built a great deal of trust with Dawn over this time. She is the only person I’ve trusted with my girls for an overnight. She is always thinking of creative craft ideas for the girls. She takes them on fun outings to the library, children’s museum, the zoo and so much more. She’s also great at finding new kid friendly and healthy recipes for them to try. I always feel at ease when Dawn is caring for my girls. 

When I initially saw Dawn's negative review I completely disregarded her as an option. After all, this is my baby we're talking about. Though after interviewing several people and almost hiring one. We found out the one we had hoped would be able to work our part time schedule was offered a position closer to her home town. As I continued my search I came across Dawns profile again and decided to read all of her reviews. They were great. Not only that they were consistent and consistently good. I did wonder about the one negative review. I read it several times and realized that there was anger and it seemed to be written in haste and possibly even in an irrational state. I decided to reach out to Dawn and ask about that situation. She explained her perspective and the reason she didn't respond was because she didn't want to make it worst. It made sense to me. I wanted to feel safe about potentially hiring Dawn and she knew it. Dawn showed me the written communication between the mother and Dawn. Dawn's perspective seemed to be quite fair. 

We ended up asking Dawn to do a trial period with us. She was amazing with our 5 month old daughter, L. She knows the developmental stages and how to help their growth so it was a breeze for her to fulfill our expectations as our nanny. From the short time we spent with Dawn, I never thought she was someone who would steal from us, ever. If anything we got our moneys worth and then some as she did L's laundry, washed her bedding, dish the dishes, and more. 

In the end, Dawn and I decided we weren't a good match. This was mostly due to personality differences. Which is a normal part of life. Dawn and I work in very different ways. I will admit that the abundance of anxiety I had about having someone care for my baby made her overly nervous which in turn made her uncomfortable. Due to this Dawn didn't always show her best self. Though we both were able to talk about it. Despite any awkwardness, Dawn always provided excellent care for our girl.

Would I recommend Dawn? Absolutely, because she was wonderful with our baby. Her previo employers rave about  her, parents and children. She is a person of good character and will put her whole heart into helping your baby and you.  She will be an absolute asset to the right family. We truly appreciated her time, knowledge, and love for our baby girl. You'd be missing out if you didn't at least talk to her.

A few days after hiring Dawn, we realized we were not as ready for a nanny as we originally thought.. after only a few days of working with us, we let her know how we felt and parted ways. She left with both our car seat and base in her car ($450 worth and car seat was BRAND NEW) and she is now refusing to return them!!! I have sent multiple text messages / calls and she still won't give them back!!! I even offered to come pick them up!!

Dawn is amazing, my wife and I have absolutely loved having her as our nanny. She has always treated our daughter as if she were one of her own, and our daughter absolutely loves her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for dependable and loving care for their child.

There are not enough nice things I can say about Dawn. I met Dawn when I was a new mom in a pandemic, going back to work, and I remember being severely overwhelmed with the idea of going back to work and not spending as much time with my baby. Dawn came in and helped with EVERYTHING, and I was immediately put at ease. Dawn takes care of kids like they are her kids, and it shows! She goes above and beyond in everything she does! My daughter, my husband, and I have absolutely loved having Dawn with our family the last 15 months, and if we weren't moving, we would never lose her! Dawn is an absolute rock star, if you have the chance to work with her, your family will definitely be the better for it!

I would like to write a letter of reference for Dawn.  I am a grandma and a first grade teacher of 30 years.  I have watched over the past year and a half as Dawn has given so much of herself as my son's nanny, for my granddaughter.  I am amazed at how kind and loving she is.  Her experience as a preschool teacher and mom, really has shown.  I can tell she truly loves her job and my granddaughter.  She is always getting outside, creating opportunities to learn and interact with her environment, try new things and move about.She has learned some sign language, singing songs is beginning to speak in some sentences.  She can count to ten and communicate her wants and needs.  She has made so much learning progress working with Dawn.  I have enjoyed all of the photos and videos she has shared and in all of them, I can tell they have a special relationship.  It has been a real joy to watch them learn and grow together.  I would definitely recommend her.

Dawn took wonderful care of my one and only Grandchild. I have met her many, many times over the last 18 month and watched her interactions with my Granddaughter. My Granddaughter absolutely  adores her and they both love each other deeply. Dawn became a part of the family and always will be. 
My daughter and her family are moving out-of-state and therefore Dawn will no longer be able to nanny for her. But, there will be visits and lots of video chats.

Dawn provided amazing care for my daughter. She treats your child as her own! I was able to drop my daughter off anytime needed. She has age appropriate toys and always interacts with the kids. I love that she would take the kiddos outside to play. My daughter always had a smile on her face when I picked her up. Definitely recommend her care.

Dawn is a baby whisperer! Seriously, she can get any baby or child to eat, sleep and follow directions effortlessly. Dawn has all the answers too. She has see it all and always has helpful advice to keep your kids healthy and happy. She's watched my kids since they were babies(they are 6 & 8 now). She'd do anything for them. We just love her.

Dawn started out as a nanny for our family when we had an infant and young child. She became a good family friend over the years. She treats my kids as if they are her own and I trust her completely. She has qualifications and experience that are above and beyond my expectations. Her strongest quality is her communication, flexibility and her hard work ethic. She and my daughter have a bond still to this day and it's 5 years later.

Dawn is wonderful with kids. Kids are her passion. She has watch my child for years and multiple kids that I know of. Kids love her. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for child care.

Hands down the absolute best in home daycare provider I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. My children immediately became just like family. If you want some to love and care for your children as much as you do yourself, then Dawn is going to be the one you want want hire. I wish I could leave more than just 5 stars, because she deserves it.

This woman is amazing with kids!!!  She watched my son for me when he was just a baby when I went back to work and continued to watch him until he was around 3 when we no longer lived in the area.  She has always done a phenomenal job with kids of all ages on occasion she even went above and beyond and would pick my son up if we needed the extra help, of course it cost a bit extra but definitely worth it!  If I didn't live so far from her I would hire her again for my daughter as well!

Dawn has been sitting and caring for my children over the last 16 years. She's passionate about children and a wonderful caregiver. Anytime I have a chance to recommend childcare to someone Dawn is my go to.
