About Davia

My name is Davia, and I'm a UCLA graduate with a B. A. in Education and Social Transformation. I offer K-8 Math tutoring aligned with Common Core standards, K-12 English and Reading support, and guidance with college essays and applications. I have two years of experience as a BruinCorps tutor at UCLA Community School, where I supported elementary students in reading, English, and math. Through the America Reads program, I also focused on literacy instruction, including phonics, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension. I currently tutor a variety of students that range in age from 4 years old to 15 years old. I have experience working with students with a variety of learning styles and needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to help them build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop effective study habits that support long-term success.
