About Danielle

My name is Danielle. I am a native Texan and have been in Central Texas the majority of my life. I've been married 27 years and have 2 beautiful adult children. I realized around the age of 40 that I had a special gift working with the elderly. I remember leaving my residents at an assisted living facility feeling like I had won the lottery. It was just that rewarding. The assisted living facility is where I developed most of my skills. When I wasn't providing assistance with daily living activities, I was working on getting to know the residents and coming up with enrichment activities I thought would enhance the quality of their lives. The most rewarding group I've cared for are those with dementia. I enjoy "meeting them where they are at", encouraging them and reassuring them they have value. Lastly, I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work. My education taught me so much about life and people. I'm grateful I have it. I believe my calling is providing care to the elderly.
