I have my MAT in Special Education and have worked in Special Education for 11+ years in many different roles. My first 5 years were in Louisiana and the years in Texas have been in DISD, Frisco, and Coppell. I have been tutoring students part time the past 4-5 years and have decided to do it full time. 10 of my 11 years were in Elementary, and one year was in Middle School. For 4 years, I was in resource positions and the rest I taught in different types of self-contained classes. I believe in teaching the child as a whole child and understanding what they need.
