About Mark

I am a recently retired math teacher with 25 years of experience teaching middle and high school math and 36 years in public education. During my 8 years in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, my Algebra 1 students consistently achieved the district's highest on-level EOC scores. I excel at helping struggling students become confident problem-solvers by breaking concepts into clear, understandable steps and making challenging concepts and academic vocabulary relatable. I specialize in Algebra 1 and EOC prep and also tutor grades 3-8 and Algebra 2. Before teaching 9th-grade Algebra, I taught grades 6-8 math for many years. I currently tutor students in grades 4, 5, 8, 9, and 11. I prefer in-person tutoring but will consider virtual sessions.
