About Daniel

Hi all, I'm Dan! I'm a PhD student at Portland State studying Social Work. I teach undergrad and grand students as my day job, and really miss teaching across other age groups. I've tutored a number of different subjects, formally and informally, over the years. Teaching is a passion of mine and one of the things I'm best at! On top of that, the income from tutoring helps support me as I quit my career as a social worker to attend school full-time. I have quite a bit of experience working with folks of all ages who work best outside of neurotypical learning environments. I believe teaching and learning extends well beyond the subject matter and should deepen social and emotional skills and critical thinking. In fact, I believe this is the point.
