I'm a substitute teacher, a licensed EMT, and a professional public health educator, currently pursuing a MA in Interactive Media Arts. My schedule is fairly flexible (with advance notice), but I'm most available for date nights! Due to the sporadic nature of my job and travels, I am usually only able to commit to 1-3 weeks of bookings at a time. 

I have been on care for a decade and have had the pleasure of meeting and working with countless families in several states. As I am currently on break from working in the public health nonprofit sphere, there is nothing I'm looking forward to more than spending time with kids again!

Rachel has been a wonderful addition to our family! She has gone above and beyond of what is expected as a babysitter/mother's helper/nanny/tutor. Our daughter adores her! She has great charisma with children. She is interactive, creative, responsible, and is such an amazing role model for our daughter. She teaches her how to read, bake, dance, etc.  We will miss her dearly when she leaves for college and can't wait until she returns during the holidays. We highly recommend her. 

Rachel is great. I asked her whether she could run a 'home camp' for two weeks, with my kids and a group of their friends. The first week we had five children aged 4-6, the second week we had six boys aged 5-8. They had an amazing time! Rachel thought of so many fun activities to do with them, managed arguments they had, balanced free-play and organized activities. The kids all said it was the funnest camp they had ever been to. Even my two year old, who was there for parts of the day every day loved it, and his face lights up when I mention 'Rachel'. We'll definitely ask her back to babysit when she has time and is in the area.

Rachel has been taking care of our daughter since she was one year old and she is now turning 5.  Our daughter loves her. She is fun, she is a great artist so art projects are always going on when Rachel is in our house.  She is kind and yet knows how to redirect our child's behavior when needed.  She always gets here in time. She is highly responsive, and will get out of her way to find back up care when she is not available.  Our daughter calls Rachel "her friend" or "her sister" which can only be a good sign...

You may read the reviews for Rachel and wonder if it's possible for a babysitter to be 'that good'. Let me assure you, she is. We took extra time screening candidates even though we were just looking for an occasional babysitter. When Rachel came to our home, her interest in our children and her engagement with them was immediate, genuine, and fun. She is never self conscious. Her focus is on our kids, and the revel in her spotlight. And our 14 year old is on the autistic spectrum. He accepted her and trusted her with little hesitation. Our 9 year old easily proclaims that "Rachel is our best babysitter!"

Rachel is incredible. My kids adore her. She is funny, vivacious, and caring. She is incredibly responsible and creative. She is firm in a most kind way. Every time we ask her to babysit, everyone gets so excited to see her, myself included. Her energy and spirit cannot be matched.

Rachel is an amazing care giver. She comes to my house in the mornings to help out with breakfast before walking my 2 kids to school. She has a great sense of humor and my kids love her. Rachel also comes to walk my dogs for 30 minutes during her lunch break. She is very dependable and I would recommend her for anyone with kids or pets.

Rachel took care of my cat Purrrr multiple times for extended periods.  Rachel is dependable, energetic and very sweet.  She really showed she cared about my cat receiving the attention and stimulation she required.  I received emails from Rachel on a regular basis with photos so I could relax and enjoy my vacation knowing everything at home was being handled professionally.  You would be lucky to have Rachel caring for your loved ones.

Rachel is a self-starter and loves working with children; it can be evidenced by the fact that our students love her!!! She's open to suggestion, is a very hard worker, and is extremely energetic to the point where I think she may even have more energy than the children she works with (which is great!!). I think Rachel is a wonderful caregiver and would be a great addition to any household.

Rachel is awesome - our 5 year old daughter begs us to make plans so we can have Rachel babysit! She is smart, fun, creative and very reliable.
