I'm not a professional, but I did help care for my grandmother the last 4 yrs of her life. I would go over daily and make her lunch, and just hang out. did puzzles and if the Tigers were playing we would listen on the radio, even though she had cable. I made sure she took her meds and I'm so happy to have had that special time. As for your loved one, I would greet them with a smile every day. I could watch tv or anything they wanted to do. I follow directions well and can guarantee they would feel safe and happy while I was there.
