Unlocking a student's unique potential is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With 10 years of experience as a Certified ELA teacher, I specialize in building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning. I assess individual needs by observing how a student interacts with new material, then adapt my methods-whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or interactive discussions-to ensure success. My favorite part of tutoring is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept clicks. I am comfortable working with pets and am happy to meet you at your home, school, or a local library to begin our journey together. I have a Masters of Ed. degree. I am a Reading Specialist, Dyslexia Interventionist, and TEA Designated Master teacher. I implement a variety of strategies based on individual student interests and needs. Critical thinking is vital for success, and learning should include creative ways to attain high rigor and tap into deeper thinking skills.
