Hi! My name is Cristina, and I am a Mom of 4 lovely children. I have my CPR and First Aid done. I also have my fingerprints and background clearance number. I've worked as a teacher for over 20+ years now. I decided to Nanny/Share Nanny with a private family that was recommended to me prior to me working at a Montessori school. I've been Nannied for 6 different families now and have no problem getting references for you as well. I've cared for infants through after school aged children. I am a very loving, fun kid at heart, human beings who enjoy working with children. And well qualified.

I interviewed Christina on Monday, Oct 11 over the phone. After reading two reviews this year that stated she no-showed for an interview and called out sick several times in a two week period for a client, I asked if this was going to be an ongoing concern or just a period in life that was difficult. She assured my husband and I that this is not a problem. However she told us to always have a back up plan and not trust the caretaker to always be there for you. I agree that this was good advice and after speaking to her for 20 minutes, my husband and I agreed to give her an opportunity to work with us. We asked her her salary range. She requested $19 an hour and we offered to pay her $20 per hour plus bonus opportunity because we are really looking for someone permanent. She was scheduled to arrive today, Wednesday, Oct 13 at 9:30 A.M. for her first day. At 8:39 AM today she canceled and said that she had to go to her sons school. Unfortunately we did not want to reschedule with her.

Cristina  took care of my two kids my three and four year old before I decided to put them in public school she worked for me for 3 years and in those 3 years they were remarkable. My kids fell in love with her she was easy-going very reliable and very responsible. She not only was caring for them but she was teaching them my kids started public school knowing their alphabets knowing their numbers. I owe it all to her I definitely would higher her back if I decide to have another baby.

Being punctual and responsible are very important as someone who will be taking care of your child.. Cristina agreed to come for an interview but, never showed up. She did not answer my call and texts. If someone doesn't show up for an interview, I wouldn't even want to imagine having her as a nanny.

I will begin this review by saying that Cristina is kind and truly loves working with children. When she was with my son, I never questioned whether he was well taken care of. She showed up on time, fed him bottles, put him down for naps, played with him, took him on walks in the stroller, fed him meals (and bathed him if he got messy). When she was at or home she did everything that was asked of her, and she did it well. 

The reason for the 3-star rating is her frequent, last minute cancellations. She worked for us for 4 weeks, and during those 4 weeks, 2 of them she was unable to come to work due to either her son being ill or friend being in the hospital. Waking up to texts at 2am saying that she wouldn't be able to make it to work that day completely upended our days (my husband or I would have to take the day off work to stay home with our son), and it was the reason we had to let her go.

Cristina was such a blessing to our family. She was our nanny for our daughter from age 1 to 2 1/2. I would have continued having her part of the family, but we ended up taking our daughter to preschool with her brother at 2 1/2.  If I had another child, I would 100% hire Cristina again. She's extremely patient, nurturing, and caring for children. Cristina was always on time and flexible. I never had to worry if my daughter was taken good care off. She truly loves the children she takes care of. We met Cristina through a friend whose daughter was in Cristina's preschool class. She has years of experience as a preschool teacher in addition to being a nanny. Overall, she is a great nanny who will teach your child to be respectful and confident. 

Mrs. C. has been watching my son since he was around 6 months old. She helped him develop skills early on including drinking out of a cup and feeding himself. Very few people I would trust him with besides her. He is two now and I still call on Mrs. C. when I need a sitter. Also, she is Montessori trained, what a great bonus!

We have had the absolute pleasure of having Cristina as our full time nanny for the last year and I cannot say enough great things about her! Always on time and reliable, always a happy and positive attitude and my son completely adores her! He has learned so many things while being with her and is always so happy when I get home from work. She keeps my house clean and organized and I'm so sad to lose her. My son turned two and is starting preschool (and is 100% ready thanks to Cristina's help), otherwise we would keep Cristina forever! 

Cristina has been so amazing with our son. She has watched him since he was 3 months old and I've never worried about the quality of care he's been receiving. She is a baby whisperer and can tell exactly when a cold is coming on or why your baby isn't napping. She uses an app to keep me and husband up to date throughout the day of when she changes a diaper, when he's been fed and when he goes down for a nap. Another plus are the photos!!! I'm so upset that we are losing Cristina but my mom and MIL have decided to help out with watching him and I can't say no to grandma love. I would recommend Cristina to anyone, she will definitely be missed and I'm sure my son is going to miss her.
