I have been around animals all my life. Now that I'm older, (56)I'd prefer smaller dogs. I grew up with a lab mix and a Siberian husky. When I got married, I had two dogs but my children were allergic so we had to give the dogs away. I've had fish and small birds as well as a turtle. I like getting out so walking the dog would be great exercise for both. Also, a hypoallergenic dog would also be best as well. I don't mind boarding as long as the dog is house trained.
