I am a highly qualified pet sitter due to my past experiences with my own pets! I've owned a cat, a dog, birds and fish! I've also pet sitting my friends' dog for 3 months a couple of years ago. I've always made sure to provide a loving caring environment for each of my pets. Some basic care techniques I used are: daily feeding, bathing, positive reinforcement (snacks for exhibiting good behavior), taking them out on a walk (only did this for my dog, of course!), & playing with them (my dog had a blast with wrapping paper, haha.)
