About Corey

Hi! My name is Corey, and I'm a current college student at UC Santa Barbara studying Economics & Accounting. I'm passionate about helping students not only improve their academic skills but also feel confident and motivated in the process. I have experience tutoring elementary through high school students in subjects like math, reading, writing, and study skills. I'm especially patient, understanding, and know how to break down complex ideas in a way that makes sense every student. In past roles, I've worked with students one-on-one and in small groups, helping them stay focused, catch up in school, and even get ahead. I aim to create a supportive environment where kids feel safe to ask questions and grow at their own pace. I bring a flexible, organized, and compassionate approach to every tutoring session. I'm excited to be a positive academic influence in their life.
