Hello! I just wanted to share a little bit about me, and why I have the time and skills to help tutor students in STEM classes. I am currently pursuing my MEd in Secondary Science Education (online at WGU), and have finished 9/12 of my class. I earned a BS in Cell Biology in 2016, and have been in lab rat jobs for the last 6 years. Last year, I decided that teaching about the science concepts I love is a much better fit for me. With the pandemic affecting every aspect of our lives, continuing student education has been a big hill to get over... maybe a mountain... and the need for supplemental education so that students can stay on track is ever present (while maintaining our balance of mental heath, of course). I have been tutoring here and there for a few months, will start my observational student teaching in April, and Demonstrative teaching in August, so I have time to help students get excited about math and science (and help them through their GoFormative homework).
