I'm in my mid 30's, recently moved back to my hometown of Minnesota from Arizona to help my parents into retirement. I have worked in a group home setting for almost 4 years, both as a manager and a provider. I've worked with people all over the spectrum of both physical and mental disabilities: full body paralysis and wheel chair bound; autism/Asperger's, Alzheimer's/dementia, diabetes/weight management, bipolar/depression, nonverbal; from toddlers to hospice care. I am currently working with a company in 3 different group homes ( overnight shifts, fill in) after a 10 year break and I enjoy what I do very much. I lift weights and run so lifting is no issue. I enjoy 1:1 conversations; been playing guitar for 20 years. I have a 1. 5-year-old pup who is well trained and adored by all. I would like to bring him with, but not a requirement.
