About Clare

Hi! I'm Clare, a 26-year-old woman located in NW Portland. I'm originally from Tacoma, WA & moved here back in 2021. I'm a student working towards a Bachelor's degree in education and have spent the last five years working in the childcare industry. Over the last three years I've worked as an after school program lead, overseeing programs with 15-65 children and working collaboratively with staff to maintain efficiency & safety while ensuring compliance with Oregon's childcare licensing regulations. While I have enjoyed my time, I'm ready to pursue something a bit less chaotic at this time. I have a CPR/First Aid certification & Food Handler's card, am enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry, and have taken several trainings to build my skills in the childcare industry. My passion for working with children comes from the hope that fostering their curiosity & kindness will lead to a brighter future for our world.
