About Clara

Hello! My name is Clara, and I am a student here in Syracuse. I am studying filmmaking with an emphasis on children's entertainment and creative education. I have 2+ years of experience in Syracuse elementary schools as an assistant teacher (through the Literacy Corps initiative), as well as 5+ years of creative tutoring in areas such as music (violin), dance (Irish dance), and art! I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and have nannied for family, neighbors, and friends in my local community. With the families I nanny for, I always emphasize the value of continued education, even during the summer. I focus on reading, creating art, and exploring with the kids I nanny, taking them to museums, parks, libraries, and encouraging them to use their imagination. As an artist myself, the most valuable aspect of my childhood was my babysitter and parents' love for creating and learning, which helped me at a very young age to fall in love with art and literacy.
