About Christy

I'd describe my personality as cheerful, kind, optimistic I like tutoring because it allows me to help people succeed and live happy lives. I'm looking for a job that allows me to work week nights or Saturday while I complete my master's program in instructional design and technology. I have always enjoyed tutoring because I get to share my knowledge and experience in ways that help people and better their lives. I started tutoring when I was five years into my career as an elementary schoolteacher. I have been teaching 15 years now, and I still enjoy tutoring students of all ages. In my spare time, I like to read and garden. One thing you should know about me is that I am experienced in working with students who have ADHD. I am very committed to teaching not only academic content but also study and test-taking skills. My teaching strengths are in reading and writing, but I am also a very experienced math teacher.
