I am a special education teacher who lives in Smithtown and works in Bellerose, Queens. I'll be teaching summer school until 3 p.m. I'd love to work P. M. hours in Great Neck or Manhasset as I could then easily hop on the LIE after rush hour! I'm a non-smoker (highly allergic to smoke + cats). I'm available afternoons, evenings, weekends, and during school breaks. I'm available, on weekends, to babysit on "date nights" near the Smithtown/St. James/Lake Grove area! I have experience caring for newborns to teens. I have been teased and affectionately called, "Mary Poppins," by the moms whose children I have cared for. I typically bring a variety of toys, games, & books to my "gigs." I am confident that any of the families whose children I've watched over the past 20+ years would be happy to chat with you. Christine babysat all three of my children and was very helpful after I had my third child. She is as close and trusting to having a family member in your home with an added bonus of being a full time teacher. I’ve never had someone that engages with the kids as she did. Always came with a bag of books, games, puzzles…sat on the floor and actually played with them. She handled 3 children from 9months to 7years old better than me at times. Christine was a true blessing for me and you would be lucky to have her care for anyone in your home.
