About Christine

My name is Christine and I am 57 years old. We moved to King George in 1997 and I recently moved to Fredericksburg. I'm a mom of 3 adult sons who I had homeschooled for over 20 years and I am now a grandmother of 1! I have a BA in Human Services and worked for Social Services until I started teaching. My experience includes caring for my mom who recently passed, and my aunt and uncle in their 90s as well as spending time with other senior friends from church over the years. I know the difficulties of being a caregiver for a loved one and finding someone you feel comfortable and safe with in your home and with the person you love. I would like to relieve some of the pressure. I'm fairly handy. Just about anything a family member would do , I would do. I am knowledgeable regarding dementia and Alzheimer's and am quite patient. Very few things make me uncomfortable. We will all be there one day and it's a blessing to make the day a little lighter for someone.
