About Christa

With over 19 years of experience in early childhood education, I've worked in both traditional preschool settings and in-home environments. I've studied and practiced child-centered approaches with a strong social-emotional focus, including RIE, Waldorf, and Montessori. I believe secure attachment is key to a child's ability to learn and thrive, so building a genuine, trusting relationship is always my top priority. I aim to support emotional intelligence while honoring each child as a whole person. I also have 9 years of experience developing emergent curriculum based on children's individual interests and needs. Through open-ended invitations to play and thoughtfully set-up provocations, I create space for exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning. I currently run a Reggio/nature-inspired micro-school, which means I'm mainly available for occasional care like date nights or one-time support.
