About Chrissy

I'm an 8th grade ELA teacher eager to tutor outside of the classroom as I start my 5th year of teaching! As a tutor, my role is to identify each student's strengths and areas for growth, then create a personalized plan that supports their success. Together, we set goals and build confidence through individualized support. I want to help students strengthen study habits, organization, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills while providing strategies that help them become more independent and successful learners. I believe open communication with a child's family is essential for tracking progress and achieving your academic goals. Whether we meet online or at the library, I am dedicated to celebrating small successes as students master new skills. I truly love watching my students transform into independent, enthusiastic learners who feel excited about their future growth!
