I have provided care to children and adults in a variety of settings for over 30 years (as a licensed special education teacher, a special education paraeducator, a nanny for children with special needs, a camp counselor, a respite care provider and respite care coordinator, tutor, Sunday school teacher, infant care provider, and job coach for adults with special needs). I find tremendous joy in spending time with people who have special needs and getting to know each person (beyond his or her diagnostic label) as a person ... and discovering their interests, personalities, skills, and abilities. I am a very positive and patient person who loves providing children with fun, engaging, and creative activities. I also enjoy helping children develop and enhance new and existing skills, in the academic, recreational, and social domains.
