In high school I took peer coaching classes that allowed me to assist kids with special needs. I helped the teacher guide students in all areas of the school day ranging from reading and writing lessons to physical activities to lunch time. I have also volunteered for a special needs ministry that has given me the wonderful opportunity to spend time with all ages of people with disabilities. I am currently studying behavioral health science at Grand Canyon University in the hopes to continue education to become a counselor for people with special needs.
