With 20 years experience in teaching, I have the ability to empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for long-term success, starting by actively listening and observing their initial interactions with new material and encouraging open communication about what methods work best for them. I celebrate small successes and provide consistent positive reinforcement, and I break down complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum. Open dialogue allows me to adapt my approach for optimal student outcomes. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is very rewarding. Working one-on-one with a student online allows me to build a strong, supportive rapport that makes learning enjoyable for the student and makes the tutoring experience labor and worry-free for the parent.
