About Kathleen

I have a K-12 Art Education License and taught for 18 years. I have tutored students of all ages. I specialize in students with differences. I focus on creating individualized learning experiences, with an emphasis on Social Emotional Learning that work along with any preexisting IEPs and 504s. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's unique learning style, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and open discussions. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests, celebrating small wins, and breaking down complex problems. Communication is key to my approach. I foster a collaborative environment with students and parents. Building a strong, supportive rapport that makes learning enjoyable is the most rewarding part of being an educator. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I'm ready to help students of all ages and abilities excel in English, Science, Art, Music & Theatre, History, Study Skills, and Test Preparation.
