About Cheryl

I'd describe my personality as caring, loving and nurturing. I like tutoring because I like to see our children succeed and have a sense of accomplishment. I noticed that our children are struggling with the basic skills of reading and math. I can be a great asset to assist. I'm looking for a job that will give me the opportunity to express my talent and assist others with their needs. I started tutoring when I worked for the Federal Government, as a Logistics Manager in the 1990's. I tutored for the Naval Supply Systems Command 'Navy Kid program'. In my spare time, I like to read, visit with friends and family, walk and play with my dog, work out, bowl, go to a movie. One thing you should know about me is that I am an honest person and I genuinely care about our kids. and their ability to succeed in life. My skills include the ability to actively listen, identify the student's strengths and provide encouragement to the students when necessary to build confidence.
