About Emily

My name is Emily, and I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies. During college, I focused on how young children grow, form relationships, and develop emotionally and socially. One of the most valuable parts of my education was my hands-on experience working with children. I interned at the Child Development Research Center, where I worked with toddlers and learned how to meet their emotional and physical needs. I planned age-appropriate activities, supported problem-solving, and helped build independence while offering comfort. I also helped children manage emotions like separation anxiety or frustration through gentle guidance and validation. Outside of school, I've cared for my fiancé's infant niece, gaining experience with feeding, diapering, and sensory play. I hope you give me the opportunity to care for your child(ren)!
