About Cherlyn Jade

Helping students become effective writers has been the focus of my career. I've tutored students through tutoring companies, and taught writing at the college level, as well as at Johns Hopkins CTY. Whatever subject a student is writing about, I can help them research, organize ideas, and write effectively. I'd describe my personality as patient, compassionate, and encouraging. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one. I'm looking for a job that provides a tutoring opportunity where I can build positive relationships with students and help them grow in confidence. I started tutoring in grad school at the University of Maryland in the Writing Center. In my spare time, I like to read, make digital collages, write stories, do embroidery, work the NYT crossword puzzle, and play chess. One thing you should know about me is that I won't give up on your child! My skills include writing instructions, reading comprehension, personalized instruction.
