About Charlotte

Hello! I am Charlotte and I am a 23 y/o recent graduate of Columbia University looking for regular tutoring work while I pursue a writing career. I offer help with college essays, general writing, SAT/ACT prep, and middle- to high-school tutoring in English, History, Science, and Math. After working as a tutor for kids aged 10-16 throughout high school, I spent a gap year during the pandemic leading a pod of six 1st and 2nd graders through online school and tutoring middle- and high-school students. Growing up with an undiagnosed learning disability, I struggled to understand why I was straining to keep up despite my hard work and passion for learning. My tutoring draws on that experience: I help students identify and overcome frustrating patterns and cultivate greater enthusiasm, resilience, and autonomy. I'm laid-back, creative, and want sessions to be places where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring, and being themselves.
