Hello families! My name is Charlene. I am passionate about working with children. As a mother of two, I started volunteering at my children's preschools, and continued volunteering throughout their time in grade school. This is where my passion for working with children began. I'm warm-hearted, energetic, fun and patient. I enjoy spending my time exploring nature, hiking and arts/crafts. These are some activities that I enjoy doing with the children that I work with. Initially, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Communications. However, I wanted to further my knowledge in working with children. I went back to school to obtain a Teacher's Certificate in Early Childhood Education. I now have over 20 years of experience working with and caring for children of all ages. Charlene has been providing after school care for my now five year old son for about a year and a half now and we have been very happy with her services. She picks him up from school, assists with homework, prepares lunches, and helps with day-to-day housework to keep our household running smoothly. Her background in child education certainly shines through in the way she interacts with my son and we have seen him emotionally and intellectually grow in leaps and bounds under her care.
