About Charis

I have been a nanny, au pair, or classroom teacher since I was 17. I have taught grades K-12 in various subject areas for the past 8 years and I've loved it. I currently teach ESL part time at a middle school. I'm bilingual in Spanish and English and now I'm studying French. I've traveled quite a bit outside of the country and I love exploring new places. Some of my hobbies include playing the piano, reading novels and nonfiction, cooking, and camping. Some strengths as a nanny include: maintaining a safe and calm environment, ability to think quickly and problem solve, a spirit of adventure and fun, and interest in crafts and creative activities. I have years of experience structuring and managing daily routines, helping kids with homework and assignments, strong communication skills, and I prioritize having a clean and organized home.
