Hi there, I'm Monique! I just turned 32, and moved back to Portland for my Masters in Social Work Program. Before that I was working in Chicago as a wedding videographer and part time nanny to the sweetest 15-month and 4-year-old boys. I love working with kids, and I have been nannying and/or volunteering in some capacity for 11 years now (and much longer if you'd count caring my younger brothers throughout my adolescence). Though I've cared for children of all ages, most of my experience is with infants and toddlers. I have worked with 13 different families, some for the summer, 1 live-in, and some children I cared for from infancy to preschool age. I also volunteered as a childcare coordinator for a non profit in Riverside, Palm Desert, Los Angeles, and Portland, working with children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old. I've honestly loved every one of these jobs, as well as every one of these little ones, and I'm sure it will be no different with yours.

"I was so impressed on the first day I met Monique. My baby took to her immediately, and I was impressed at how easily she was able to put him down for a nap since he is a sleep-fighter. She told me that others have called her the "baby whisperer," and I believe it! She has a lot of experience with children of all ages. She is very cheerful, friendly, kind, and easy to talk to. My kids have a lot of fun with her. She is very patient with the kids. She is very respectful of our parenting and what we'd like for our children.
