I am currently an assistant teacher in a JCPS Special Education classroom. I have provided childcare (currently still servicing a family) for children 7 and under in the Louisville area who struggle with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Examples of these are: spina bifida, ADD/ADHD, and children born with drug dependency. I also have experience in a residential facility as a DSP, focused in the dorm that housed cognitively delayed clients with trauma based needs. Included in that population were clients with sexual trauma, drug/alcohol addiction, and severe anger management. Job duties for all experiences above included medication administration, therapeutic behavior management, small forms of physical therapy, community engagement with transportation, and hygiene which incorporated lift training.
