About Casey

I am a former high school and middle school science teacher and mother of two girls ages 16 months and 6 years old. After my daughter was born I taught part-time in an after school program where I also subbed for the preschool classes at a licensed childcare facility. My family recently relocated to Seattle and live in the Northgate area. I hope to find a position which allows me to develop a strong and committed relationship with a family based on communication and mutual respect. I am an advocate of mixed-age/family group and community settings for children and would like the flexibility to set up outings for children within the community. I am active and love to play outdoors with children, take walks and go to parks. I also enjoy visiting local museums, meeting up for play dates, crafting and other hands-on activities. I practice positive parenting with my children and understand the importance of consistency and firm but loving discipline.
