About Carrie

Hi! I'm Carrie. I have 25+ years of experience working with adults and children who are neurodiverse. I also like the term Neurospicy! :) I have extensive training in positive behavior supports, advocacy, Autism, ADHD, CPR & First Aid. I believe that it is important to meet people where they are and honor the individual by trying to find ways that help each particular student improve and/or be less frustrated. Spelling, reading, writing, life skills, and social skills are my areas of expertise. I have worked with all ages (pre-school through "nontraditional" students). Learning should be fun! I do my best to build rapport with students so that I can incorporate their interests into what we are working on. I am also happy to collaborate with teachers to see what is working and what isn't. It may take a little more time for a struggling neurodiverse kiddo. That's okay! Patience, steady encouragement, and not giving up are the first steps to success. Let's talk!
