About Carolyn

My name is Carolyn, and I graduated with my Masters in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin in 2023. I work as a therapist in group practice, and social worker at Dell Seton in the ER. Prior to being a therapist, I worked in childcare and education for many years. From 2016 to 2024, I worked for the Voyageur Outward Bound School, guiding youth on extended wilderness expeditions; in 2017 to 2018, I co-ran a non-profit after school program; and well before either of those jobs I was -- and continued to be -- a nanny. Childcare was one of my first jobs as an adolescent, and I liked it enough to keep doing it professionally as an adult! I love working with kids for plenty of reasons, including the ability to build meaningful relationships and help nurture the best in young people. Currently, I am only occasionally working with families with infants and toddlers. This is my way of getting in some love with "littles" as I fill my daytime hours with teens :)
