I am in the process of renewing my Missouri Level 1 Med Tech, First Aid, and CPR certifications. I was a State Certified Home Health Aid in New Jersey from 1991 to 2000 providing in home care with a wide variety of duties. I worked as a Direct Support Professional from 2020 to 2022 in Missouri, providing in-home care in both group home and private settings for adults with developmental disabilities, as well as a quadriplegic gentleman. I have been working for the last year and a half PRN as a caretaker and companion for a 96-year-old man, assisting with meals, light housekeeping, medication administration, and daily support. I also provided end-of-life care for close family members, including my grandfather, mother, and mother-in-law, supporting them through their physical decline and death processes. I am experienced with gait belts, feeding tubes, catheters, Hoyer lifts, vitals, glucose testing, bed and chair transfers, feeding, toileting, and hygiene including bed baths.
