About Carolyn

Hi there! My name is Carolyn. My goal as a tutor is to make learning fun! With over 15 years experience as a tutor and performing arts teacher, I believe learning happens best in environments that are both playful and focused. Therefore, I blend traditional academic learning with games, lively conversation, and movement. My specialty is tutoring students grades K-8. I also believe that teamwork and collaboration are essential to learning, so I make it a point to partner with parents to figure out how to support each child's journey at home and at school. I have worked with students at schools such as Curtis School, Geffen Academy at UCLA, Topanga Elementary, and many more. I hold a BA from NYU's Gallatin School in Performing Arts and Education & 2 post-graduate certifications in movement and theater (from L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and the Soul of Continuum Apprenticeship).
