Upon hiring Carmen, i was assured i was the only family she was taking care of, and that my 2 children were her priority. On her first day starting, she called off 2 hours prior to the time my children needed to be picked up from school, and on Day 5 she called off again 3 hours prior to pick up. The unprofessionalism began when she told me to tell my boss he should understand her call offs. After consideration, I was still going to keep her as my nanny, as i am in a tough place, which i confided in her as well about. The day before her 2nd week, she asked for more money, and when i stated i was going to continue to pay her the agreed upon amount from Day 1, she then told me she was not going to care for my children any longer. I have been trying to get in touch with Carmen after her quitting, asking her to give MY car seats back that I PROVIDED for pick ups. Carmen has yet to reply to my calls or texts, and still has my childrens care seats. If you choose to hire this person, be cautious. This is an honest review and its as respectable as I can be for someone who abandoned their commitment, and ignores the responsibility of giving property back.
