About Carolyn

Growing up my mom did independent elderly care and many times had jobs she didn't have time for and I often got to help out. I've done elderly man who I had mobility issues and dementia. I would prepare meals, provide company by watching tv and playing board games together, and provide support in walking and be prepared to help make a fall more gentle if it happened. I also provided care for a women who needed help with light house keeping, transportation, and companionship. We would read books together, go out to eat, and occasionally watch her favorite tv show. To me, some of the most rewarding parts of elderly care are hopefully bringing a moment of joy to someone's day, hearing stories from the past, or providing someone with peace of mind by maintaining their living space to their standard.
