We hired Carissa to teach our K-5th graders Sunday school class each week.  She has truly been a God-send! She is creative, energetic and her enthusiasm is contagious. She has ability to teach at all grade levels (above elementary). The kids love her. We had one little girl who was shy and preferred staying with her parents in the main sanctuary...until Carissa came along! Now she can't wait to see what Carissa has in store!  She knows how to deliver the content in a way where the kids retain it.  We did a quiz on bible stories and I was so impressed with how much detail the kids recalled.  I also appreciate that she is professional, timely, dependable, possesses high integrity, proactive and resourceful.

Carissa did a series of group sessions virtually with my child and some friends. They did topics that the kids are learning in school and she even created games out of the topics. The kids were eager to learn and attend the group classes. They met new friends along the way and Carissa made it fun and engaging for every student. She shared progress reports with each parent and we saw growth from the first time we had class to when that series ended. We took some of her "fun" classes in December and the kids loved the fact that they got to learn other things. I cannot wait for her to do another series because I love to see my kid happy to learn. She also does private tutoring with us and have been for the past 2 years! Another thing I admire about her is her dedication to the kids and the fact that she creates her own materials. We have bought worksheets from her and when I say they are good quality I mean it. We love Carissa. Thank you for everything that you do!

Carissa is excellent with our kids. She has served as a tutor for our 13 and 12 yr olds. She focuses each lesson based on each child's needs and they have made significant progress since working with her. I highly recommend her.

My toddler can read at age 3 because of Carissa. The End. 5 stars. Seriously though, absolutely amazing teacher and person. She's been working with my toddler since age 2. They do both in person and virtual learning. I was lost on what to teach after the basics, ABC's and such, so I started to look for someone who had the educational background and experience to better guide my  eager learner and further challenge them. A few examples of what my child now knows; well over 50 sight words, can solve basic math problems, can read a 10 sentence story which was displayed as of today, can write certain words such as "mom", & they are working on reading comprehension for longer stories.  In writing this review I'm realizing how crazy this may sound to some, but it is true. We set goals and hit them. Carissa has done an astronomical job. If she can teach all of this to a barely 3yo, just imagine how she can help your child.

Greetings! I hired Carissa for in person work but because of the rising of cases I decided that we would stop in person and go virtual. I was extremely nervous for her to switch to virtual but she did an absolute incredible job with the virtual tutoring. My son is 4 years old and he responds to her really well! She knows how to keep his attention and she provides all the materials he needs. Her services are great and very professional. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to see amazing growth in there child. She is truly a gem and I don't know what I would do without her. I am a single mom and there has been times I called her last minute to babysit and she has always been dependable. I trust her and so does my son. Thank you Carissa for everything. I hired Carissa as a virtual tutor due to the pandemic and she has been nothing but amazing with my daughter in the 4th grade who struggled with math and reading. She treats my daughter like her own and checks on her during the week. She has incredible knowledge on the state standards and she goes above and beyond to provide my daughter with the best lessons possible. She creates her worksheets based on what my daughter needs and she she also has an assessment that she uses to help guide the lessons. Where do I start with this review? Normally I do not leave reviews for anything but this one is well needed! Carissa is a blessing to our family and we are so grateful for her. When she started working with my son he had no confidence in anything that he did. Not only did she tutor him but she built his confidence all the way up and continues to mentor him! Carissa has been amazing for our kids.  We consistently have had her tutor our kids 3 hours a day for the past year.  Our kids are performing at least 1-2 levels above their grade as a direct result of her pushing our kids to do things that they don't think they can do.
